Translate subtitles on your device

Use Chrome’s built-in AI to translate any track without uploading it.

Steps

  1. Open a track in the editor (✎ in the popup) or open a file there.
  2. Choose the target language under Translate.
  3. The first time, Chrome downloads the language model — this can take a minute.
  4. Export the result, or keep the original as a dual track.

Tips

  • Requires Chrome 138 or later on desktop. The Translate panel is hidden when the browser doesn’t support it.
